That's adorable! I really wanted to visit Riga and just the Baltic states in general but we did not go. Hopefully I will get to go years from now.

Looks more like it was blurred with a post-effect rather than a tiltshift lens.

WHAT A SEC THIS IS REAL? No wonder the people are so small. Also I thought the painting was so good. But its real. How cool. Latvia is real pretty.

Personally, I like this picture regardless if it's Tilt-Shift or Miniature faking... The two of the terms are almost used with each other all the time anyway, and most probably won't be all that familiar with it...

Although I must admit, I thought it was a snapshot from the recent Sim City game (which also uses Tilt-Shift and an iconic cartoon style for it's graphics)...

I am still on the fence as to whether it is a photo of Riga, Latvia, or a photo of a miniature rendition of Riga, Latvia... Stunning photo! The details caught in this are amazing!

I love Tilt Shift, and I love this one too, specially with the vibrant colors. Did you tilt it in photoshop or do you have a tilt lens?

Except that this looks more like miniature faking rather than legit tilt-shift. You don't get that plane of focus with a tilt-shift.

Tilt shift is always a fascinating phenomenon. Well done! This one reminds me of the model houses at the beginning of Mister Roger's Neighborhood.

Totally deceptive photography!
Just like something shot with a similar technique that I saw a while ago. With that one I had to actually ask if it was real or a model because it was so hard to tell.
The suggester here does kind of spoil the illusion by mentioning it in her reason for suggesting.
But this is another wonderful example of messing with your visual perception. The rich colours do add to the illusion that it's actually a model.

Congrats on the DD. So well deserved. :D

And naughty suggester, next time don't tell us it's not really Lilliput! ;)

Haha sorry about that :giggle:

But whenever I suggest a DD I always give full and clear reasons as to why I think it deserves it. So happens I had to mention what it was ;P Still a pleasure to look at, even knowing! :3
